The Humans of Eudia series spotlights the remarkable people who bring our mission to life. Every conversation offers a behind-the-scenes look at the diverse expertise, lived experiences, and creative problem solving that shape our products, partnerships, and culture.
These are the people who make Eudia more than a technology company. They embody the curiosity, rigor, and ambition that define our ethos. Through their stories, we hope to show what is possible when human intelligence and Augmented Intelligence move in the same direction.
What’s your name and what do you do at Eudia?
My name is Mike Masiello and I lead our Government Business.
Why did you join Eudia?
I joined Eudia for the same reason many people hesitated. Most startups fail, and Eudia was still in stealth. I had been through early-stage environments before, so I knew the risk. What I didn’t expect was the conviction I felt from day one that this team was building something genuinely transformational. People talk a lot about “iPhone moments” and joining Eudia felt like stepping into the room where one was about to happen.
What excites you most about working at Eudia?
What excites me most is the pace of evolution. Every startup claims to move fast, but Eudia operates on a completely different level. In just one year, we acquired two companies, launched an AI-augmented law firm in Arizona (something I didn't even know was possible), and built a government practice from day one. These are moves you expect from industry leaders, not early-stage companies. That ambition is what makes this place electric. It’s inspiring to work somewhere that has both the vision and the backing to do what it takes to win in a big way.
What’s a cultural moment that stands out to you from your time at Eudia?
A cultural moment that resonated with me recently was when during an All Hands meeting, our CEO reminded us to double down on our strengths and collaborate in ways that let everyone do their best work, I loved hearing that, it feels good to be somewhere that promotes that kind of a culture.
How have you lived one of our operating principles lately (Get Stuff Done, Think From First Principle, Disagree & Commit, Build Responsibly, Blow Your Customers Mind) ? Can you give an example?
The principle I embody most is “Get Stuff Done”. This is where being a naturally impatient person actually works to my advantage. Breaking into government business is notoriously slow. For a startup, it can take more than a year just to clear the initial hurdles before an agency will even consider you. Instead of accepting that timeline, I looked for unconventional pathways and pushed until something opened. With persistence and a bit of serendipity, I found a creative entry point that allowed us to secure a government contract far earlier than expected. That contract is now laying the foundation for a broader government presence and future growth.
What non-work-related things in your life is essential for you to achieve “Eudaimonia”?*
For me, eudaimonia starts with knowing our children are thriving. There is nothing more grounding than seeing them grow, develop new skills, and surround themselves with love and positive energy. I also find a lot of fulfillment in the time my wife and I spend traveling and exploring new places together. I also love getting outside on a board or a dirt bike. It gives me the reset I need. Those moments of adventure and movement keep me energized, focused, and ready to bring my best self back to the work we are doing at Eudia.
