Legal research touches nearly every workflow in an enterprise legal department. A compliance officer confirming federal breach notification requirements needs to know the answer is grounded in current statutes. A contracts attorney checking whether a specific indemnity clause holds up under recent case law needs the relevant opinions at hand. A deal team reviewing material risk disclosures in a counterparty's latest 10-K needs to pull directly from the filing.

Each of these questions demands authoritative sources, and the speed at which those sources can be accessed shapes how quickly the department moves. Knowing which sources to query, and actually running and synthesizing those queries, is often a manual and independent step of the research process.

For Eudia customers, that research now happens automatically.

Introducing Legal Databases in Eudia

When you ask a question through the Eudia Assistant that requires legal research for a robust and accurate answer, Eudia now automatically routes the appropriate portions of your prompt to relevant legal databases or the web, returning answers with sentence-level citations to the underlying cases, statutes, filings, and resources.

This includes a comprehensive set of sources:

U.S. Case Law: 10M+ opinions across federal, state, and specialty courts, covering 99%+ of precedential U.S. case law.

U.S. Statutes and Regulations: the full U.S. Code and Code of Federal Regulations, plus statutes and regulations for all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico.

SEC EDGAR: 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, along with ownership and governance filings and registration and offerings documents.

International Law: European Union legislation and case law, United Nations, Council of Europe, and OECD instruments, as well as national laws across 18+ jurisdictions in Europe and the Middle East.

The data is sourced from a combination of licensed legal-data providers and public-record aggregators and kept current through regular updates, with case law and SEC filings appearing within minutes to hours of publication and European legal documents refreshing daily.

Accessible at the Point of Work

Using the feature is as simple as asking a question in the Eudia Assistant, whether in the unified workspace or our Microsoft Word and Outlook integrations.

For U.S. statutes and regulations, you might ask: What are the federal requirements for employee data privacy and breach notification?

For international law: What are a company's obligations under GDPR when transferring personal data from the EU to the United States?

Combined with Expert Digital Twins, specialized agents, and company knowledge, the work that lawyers do and the research they need to execute it is now even more tightly integrated, accelerating how legal teams apply their judgment in strategic matters.
